We were honored to have Mr Karabo Lekalakala as our
guest speaker; the knowledge he shared will go a long way in ensuring success
in all our endevours.
Mr Lekalakala
is a founder of a training and development company "Answers
Consultation" an inspirational speaker, author and team builder. Mr.
Lekalakala has also appeared in numerous television and radio shows that
includes DSTV channel 251 (Soul Therapy show & Mbhokodo), SABC 1 I-dentity
show, Ikwekwezi FM, Jozi FM, Tshwane FM, Jacaranda FM and was also featured in
Metro FM to give his expert advice in favorite topic of relationships.
Herewith is his insight in a nutshell:

- Great leaders do not search for followers.
People do not wait for the mango tree to come to them
but go for the mango tree - you are unique; tell and articulate your vision; do
what you do best and your prospective customers will search and find you!
Transform your lives in a way that will impact
people’s lives positively.
On Mastering money – you should always remember that
starting a business is like race (marathon) and not a sprint. Like a Chinese
Bamboo tree which takes 5 years to get out of the ground but takes only 6 weeks
to grow 90 feet tall, you need to be patient.
“Biggest profits are not entirely attained through
good sales people but mostly through a good relationship between a buyer and a
seller.” You need to have conviction in your product before you could try to
sell it to someone else. Put your customers first; tailor your offering to
their specific requirement and always to surround yourself with Only Quality
People (OQP).
The business is “Hard and Heart” – The business should
be something close to your heart, it must be in you, although you will go
through difficulties you will prosper because it is in you, “You Can, You Will
You Must!”
The seven Steps to success:
- Be Cool - no matter what the world throws at you stick to your vision and conviction.
- Reflect before you act - On the product that you have and on the service you want to offer; on your Unique Selling Proposition.
- Tell your Vision - Never stop promoting yourself; know how to ignite the spark in your business
- Be up to Date - Put your ear on the ground about new developments in your area and beyond.
- Knock until someone opens – Success comes to those busy doing something about it and not to those who are looking for it.
- Take care of your Health and do something you love.
- Make things Happen – People are waiting for you to happen to them; they are waiting for you to transform their lives.
